Operation Wilden Pro-Flo Shift
In conventional diaphragm pumps, at the end of the pump stroke, too much air is introduced behind the diaphragm; this excess compressed air is referred to as overfilling, or overfilling.
Several diaphragm pump manufacturers have tried to prevent overfilling by using costly and complicated electronics, which must "learn" each time. This "learning period" produces a corresponding waste of air, and this drawback worsens in metering applications and on/off applications.
With the Pro-Flo SHIFT system, WILDEN has definitively solved the problem of overfilling by adding an additional piston that shuts off the compressed air supply before the end of the pump stroke. Thus, the Pro-Flo SHIFT system saves up to 60% compressed air.
